Mary-Kate Olsen - Fashion Disaster
Mary-Kate Olsen has come a long way from her role on the popular television series Full House where she and her sister played the same character, Michelle Tanner, taking turns during the tapings in order to comply with strict child labor laws regarding child actors. The Olsen sisters later established a company called Dualstar in 1993 and their brand has been sold in more than 3,000 stores in America and over 5,300 stores worldwide. Because of this, they have been on the Forbes “The Celebrity 100 list” since 2002, and in 2007, Forbes ranked them collectively as the eleventh richest women in entertainment, with an estimated net worth of $100 million. So why has the infamous Mr. Blackwell ranked poor little rich girl Mary-Kate as the #3 fashion disaster? Even going so far as to state, “She resembles a tattered toothpick — trapped in a hurricane.”
I’ve been noticing Mary-Kate’s strange fashion sense for a while now and here’s some of her worst moments in pictures.
Night of the Living Dead
You’d think with all their money these girls could at least learn how to use a tanning booth

Stevie Nicks or Matchstick Girl?
I can’t tell what look Mary-Kate is going for here but it looks like a hybrid experiment between Stevie Nicks and the matchstick girl.

Those Boots Weren’t Made for Walking
OMG, it looks like Mary-Kate took some black electrician’s tape and wrapped it around her feet. Look’s like the lot of them are wasted.

Is That a Shirt or a Dress?
In this picture it appears she’s donned on of her fathers old bowling shirts and has fashioned it into a makeshift dress.

Smoking a Cigarette?
I haven’t heard of any plans to remake the 80’s Helen Slater movie “The Legend of Billie Jean” but Mary-Kate is pretty convincing with her cutoffs and cigarette.

Somebody call the fashion police on Mary-Kate Olsen. The Olsen sisters look like death warmed over. It just goes to show that “Money can’t buy you style”.
Hi, My name is Dannielle and I'm a student at University of Central Florida who is studying fashion design. Warm welcome to my blog.

Oh, please.
Like you need a tan to look good.
They look fabulous, and the so-called “electrical tape” shoes are designer duds you could only wish to afford.
Sorry babe, their style is catching on and it’s here to stay for at least a few more years!

for someone who is studying fashion design you obviously have no idea about fashion.
mary-kate and ashley olsen are fashion icons. and those so called ‘boots’ are chanel gladiator sandals which mind you are completely sold out, i guess that means they’re in fashion =]

At least they don’t look like everyone else, they’re bold and as a fashion student, you’re quite quick to judge…perhaps you should keep a more open mind…if not, good luck with your career….

FUCK YOU HOE!

Wow, I didn’t know so many of you out there felt so strongly about the Olsen twins
Sorry folks, just because somebody is rich and pushes their style on the general public does not make them attractive or a fashion icon.
I think anybody with half a brain (or at least studying fashion design) knows that most people will buy anything if they think they will look like their favorite celebrity.

I think it’s funny that you’re sitting there criticizing their fashion choices.
I don’t understand how people can say that someone is dressing terribly when it’s all about opinions?
If anything, you should at least say “I think..” because you’re making it sound like you’re correct and that they are, in fact, dressing horribly. Which is probably why there are soo many people giving you hate comments.. I personally love their sense of style and think they’re creative and willing to take risks.

If it’s all about opinions then I guess I’m entitled to mine so why are you trying to criticize me for having one?
Nobody said you have to agree with me. It doesn’t bother me in the least bit because I respect your right to express your opinion. If I didn’t respect opinions, I wouldn’t publish any critical comments on this blog.

I read similar article also named te Olsen - Fashion Disaster, and it was completely different. Personally, I agree with you more, because this article makes a little bit more sense for me
